Jerome E. Sheldon, Jr.

Jerome E. Sheldon, Jr. with over 10 years of experience developing company strategy and
executing business process and technology transformations is highly- suited for
establishing organizational vision, and setting the pace with innovation strategies
and focused leadership. Jerome is also responsible for creating strategic partnership
that capitalizes on the group’s delivery capabilities.
Prior to founding UMGroup, Inc., Jerome worked for Analytical Services as an Application
Database Manager (ADBM) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) under
the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for the United States Government in
Brunswick, Ga. He managed the entire Hazardous Minimization (HAZMIN) program at
FLETC for four years. Prior to his arrival at the FLETC, he did the same for the
navy at the U.S Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. for five years.
In 1995 he joined Millennium Inorganic Chemicals in Baltimore, MD. as the purification
operator. He was responsible for removing unwanted metal chlorides and other solid
impurities from the crude titanium tetrachloride produced in chlorination. He also
worked for TATE Access Floor, inc. as a senior machine operator in the press and
welding departments. In the early 90’s, Mr. Sheldon worked in the retail industry
as an Assistant Manager for Pic N’ Pay Shoes, one of the biggest retail shoe chain
in the country at the Randallstown location in Maryland.
Jerome was born and raised in Liberia. He attended J.L Gibson elementary school on
Gurley Street. In 1988, he graduated from St. Patrick’s High School as a member of
the Class of Faith and Determination (COFAD). He left for the United States of America
in 1989. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Management from Strayer University in Owing Mills, MD.
