Jerome E. Sheldon, Sr.
Co-Founder, Chief Financial Officer
At UMGroup, Inc. Jerome role includes furthering our corporate and financial strategy
while managing our financial, planning, human resources and internal IT functions.
Jerome has extensive experience in manufacturing, cost control, oral and written
communication skills, strong planning background, analytical problem-solving,
SAP R/3, management and safety and environmental knowledge.
Prior to joining UMGroup, Inc. Jerome worked as Agency
Budget Analyst for Baltimore City Dept. of Social Services
under the Dept. of Budget and Finance. Jerome responsibilities
include budget review and formulation; monitoring and
analyzing financial data in the development of the city
and state budget. He also monitors, reconciles and reports
all 3010 expenditures due to DHR and prepares quarterly
reimbursements.
In 1991, Jerome joined Millennium Inorganic Chemicals in Baltimore, Md. as a
Manufacturing Specialist. He provided leadership and coaching to employees to
improve overall performance. He enhanced productivity, by designing, implementing,
and training employees the manufacturing process control systems and SAP R/3 production
planning module.
Jerome was born and raised in Liberia. He graduated from CWA High School in 1964.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology and Management from the
University of Maryland in Silver Springs, MD.
