The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-know Act (EPCRA)

• The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-know Act (EPCRA) in Liberia is to facilitate and promote planning for chemical emergecies at the county and local levels, and also to provide information to the public about the chemicals used, stored and released in their communities. EPCRA is critical to communities in alerting them to the dangerous chemicals present in their communities, and in laying the foundation for effective emergecy response management plan.
